How to have happy customers

This post isn’t about how I make my customers happy, it’s about how I was made very happy as a customer!

Yesterday I visited my hairdresser (again). Usually I see her every 5 to 6 weeks as I have a short hair style and it needs cutting often but over the last few months I have been living abroad and so I’ve had to make my style last for up to 9 weeks (hate it, hate it, hate it, when it gets long!) So, anyway, I had my 9 week long hair cut 2 weeks ago and it’s GREAT. But, on looking at my diary, I realised that there’s another 8 or 9 weeks until I get the chance to see Lorna (my Hairdresser) again.

Fabulous Service

I asked Lorna if she could fit me in for a quick trim at the back (I like a really short cut there) before I embark on another 6 week trip overseas and she said YES. So, yesterday I went for my trim and it took around 15 minutes as, being the perfectionist she is, she also blended in the now v short hair with the longer hair on top. When I went to leave and took out my purse to pay but Lorna said it was a going away present and no payment was due – how sweet is that!

She is a fabulous hairdresser (I’ve been going to her for more than 15 years) and I think she likes doing my hair – because I am open to a change now and again – when she suggests something I usually let her ‘do’ it. This time she suggested I leave the front long (its LOOONG for me!) and I’m sort of liking it – Lorna has an eye for style! Anyway – back to the happy customer thing: I was happy – I drove 30 miles to see her and I got a free haircut. I always recommend her if anyone locally is looking for a new hair stylist – she is REALLY good!

I did have a little surprise for Lorna too though – since I thought she might not charge….. I took her one of my groovy yellow purses/business card holders and so I gave it to her in appreciation of her service. She  loved it too and immediately put some of her cards in it!

You never know when you need a business card when out and about. Now Lorna will have hers to hand in a bright yellow zip up case!

And, I have a fab new hair cut ;o)

Happy customers all round!
