I’m in Chennai and the surrounding area this week, visting the fabulous rural workshop that make all my designs for me.

Here’s one of my team of lovely leathermaking ladies.

Far left is Pramilla, the workshop manager and everyone else does various things from cutting to embossing, sewing to finishing, cleaning and office work.

It looks like a lot of ladies but there’s a lot of work that goes into every handmade leather bag or wallet!
