This week, 2nd December to be precise, saw the United Arab Emirates celebrating it’s 43rd National Day.
I missed being there on the day as I travelled to Chennai in India, this week but luckily for me, the National Day parade in Dubai, was held on Saturday last week.
Here are a few of my photos.
The National Day float with a globe of World flags, representing the many different nationalities living and working in the UAE.
An impressive start to the parade.
All the beautiful horses sported gold ankle covers.
Hundreds of horses!
Next come the Dubai Police with their collection of super cars.
The bigger the flags the better!
Or just paint the whole car flag colours!
Keeping up with the Police Force, the ambulance service seem to have a fleet of super cars too!
No shortage of flags.
Next come people representing Nations all around the world. I just got a couple of non-fuzzy photos (there was so much dancing!). This was the Brazilian section, Salsa dancers with great music!
And Algeria, represented in National costume with drummers and music.
A parade to be proud of.
