Handbag Review: Mini Hobo

Black mini hobo with purseThis is the second review of the new Mini Hobo. It is the 5th review of some of our new 2014 designs and is courtesy of Donna in the UK.

Here are my questions with Donna’s answers. Donna chose to review this design in Black.

Q 1. What was your 1st impression of the bag you chose?

Donna: I loved it!

Q 2. Was the colour and size as expected?

Donna: Yes it was the colour and size as expected. I think I may have expected the strap to be a little longer but this doesn’t affect how I use the bag.

I also noticed the stitching detail more than I did on the website photo and I really like it.

Choosing black means that I guess I couldn’t be surprised about the colour.

Q 3. The price of your bag (in UK including VAT) is £45 how do you think it measures up to value for money?

Donna: I think it is good value for money but it makes the large leather shopper (priced at £48) an absolute bargain!

Q 4. How many times have you used it so far?

Donna: I’ve used it every day since I received it.

As I’m more accustomed to using larger bags I have had to rethink what I can take and not just throw things in. This has not been a bad thing!

It makes a very good book bag. I cannot fit an iPad in it but that is not a problem for me. I really like that it fastens up and the most satisfying pleasure is perhaps not having to search into the great depths for purse, keys, wallet etc as its all contained in a small space!

So, in all, the trade-off is to have a roomier bag (as with large leather shopper), which you can hide away those unexpected or unplanned purchases, or take a compact bag that is comfortable and keeps all belongings close to hand.

Q 5. Has anyone commented on your new bag? What did they say?

Donna: Two friends commented on the bag saying it was nice but too small. But really, you have not seen the massive bags that they carry around with them! Also, it is too elegant to match the puffy winter jacket I am wearing.

I think it will be a useful bag in the summer too – but maybe I need a more summery colour so I am pleased they come in a range of colours.

Thank you Donna 🙂
