Last week I set up a competition to win an Olympic handbag. The entries to write a caption for my photograph of 5 handbags set out as the Olympic rings were all fabulous and deciding on the winners was a hard task. In the end I delegated that to my assistant and I’m very pleased with her decision.

All the winners chose very different bags and here’s why.

Winner 1: Laura

Laura has chosen the large square shopper in orange. She wants it to carry her laptop to the cafe, where she writes her blog.

Winner 2: Amy

Amy has gone for the purple ‘Dieppe’ tote – a very practical style in a lovely colour with groovy pink taffeta lining. She says it was the lining colour that swayed her choice.

Winner 3: Jules

Another bag to carry a laptop, Jules has chosen the red and black ‘Roanne’ big bag, She says it will be perfect for her new MacAir.
