This post is all about Queen B.

The Queen B bag is a new design that was inspired by a lady who has helped me with my business marketing. Her name is Bernadette Doyle. While I was feeling low and in need of marketing inspiration, Bernadette asked me to design a hot pink bag for her that would help her make a statement in business.

I Need A Business Bag

When I design a new bag, I usually do it with the fabric or leather in mind. So when Bernadette made her request, I first had to go and find a hot pink leather, then I needed to consider her style. She likes bright colours and often wears a beautifully cut dress in a bold bright shade, so I wanted my design to reflect her ‘style with simplicity’ persona. Well that’s what I see, anyway 🙂 She also wanted it to fit a certain amount of business ‘stuff’ including a laptop and cables etc.

So, here’s the bag and I hope that Bernadette likes it. A lot of other people do anyway, so that’s good! It has a secure zip top and 2 roomy exterior pockets with zips. The 2 side pockets are great for things you need to find quickly like your business cards, pens and phone or if you want those things to be more secure, there’s a dedicated phone pocket inside the main zip, along with 2 large slip in pockets, another zipped pocket and a clip for attaching your keys.

All in a gorgeous blue shot taffeta material I found for the lining. I like to use colourful linings whenever possible as it makes it easier to find things in your bag.

Queen B On Tour

A Limited Edition

The Queen B bag in hot pink, red, blue and purple are coming in a limited number of maximum 20 per colour, so if I get to see one while I’m out and about I’ll be grabbing any photo opportunity!

The first purple one, hot from the workshop was even hand-delivered by me to VIP Club member Belinda Grashion when she was in London recently (she’s usually in Barbados – woohoo)!

Currently, the hot pink, red and purple are available from stock. The blue (in a really tiny quantity of five – only 5!) will be arriving in early September. All have been handmade by my chief sample maker, Kumar, so they’ve been arriving in two’s and three’s with each delivery that comes from my workshop.
