If you’ve seen my recent photos on Facebook and Instagram, you will have noticed that I’m dealing with a lot of pears (and apples) right now. We inherited 4 beautiful espaliered old and knarled pear trees, in Normandy, France, about 7 years ago and I’m still learning how to care for the trees as well as finding new recipes to use up the pears they produce!
Our current breakfast smoothies are all with pears. Here’s todays yummy recipe.
Pear Grape and Banana Smoothie
1 large pear peeled
About 15-20 red grapes
1 smallish banana
About 1 cup proper fresh apple juice (you can use crushed ice or cold water instead)
1 individual size pot of natural yoghurt
Mix all together in a blender until smooth and serve immediately. Serves 2.
