O is for the Olympics

I can’t let the letter ‘O’ pass without mentioning the Olympics. Here we are in the middle of the Rio games 2016 and team GB is doing brilliantly. I particularly like watching the cycling (no surprise there, since I’ve mentioned cycling quite a lot here on my blog!)

Today, I thought about the colours of the Olympic rings, blue, yellow, black, red and green. They represent the five continents of the world: Africa, Asia, America, Europe, and Australia.

Shona Easton Olympic bags

I’ve added my own version of the Olympic rings here: made in my bags, just for fun.

And so you can see the designs, here they are, one colour at a time.

Shona Easton Olympic Blue Bags

Blue: clockwise from top, navy handheld, new Queen B, Gina blue, Destination travel wallet, Annie purse, Madras handheld, Queen B again, Gina navy and the blue organiser.

Shona Easton Olympic Yellow bags

Yellow bags: organiser, Patty medium shopper and Lucia mini hobo.

Shona Easton Olympic Black bags

Black: from 1 o’clock, Gina mini bag, Roanne tote, Nicky bag, Shenley shoulder bag, organiser

Shona Easton Olympic Red Bags

Red. I love red bags (as you can see from the number of them!). Here we have the red/white ikat organiser, Queen B, orange/red ikat organiser, the large shoulder bag, luggage tags and up at 9 o’clock, Martha in red and Bergen in red.

Shona Easton Olympic Green Bags

Green. A few of the available green designs are: travel wallet, mini purse, organiser & handheld

Of all the Olympic sports, which ones have you most enjoyed watching?

What a clever post! No need for people to ask what colours you do! Brilliant!

You are so incredibly creative. I love your image of your bags forming the Olympic circles! Awesome! My favorite color is and has always been blue. All of those blues are positively fabulous!

Thank you Julie. I do have a lot of blue styles at the moment! Partly it’s because I just ‘found’ some of them on my last visit to one of the tanneries I buy from. The blue nubuck for Queen B was only available in a few skins, so we’ve only been able to make 5 of them. Oops!
