Here are 2 more reviews of our medium purse notecase. Jenny Snedden is in the UK and Petra Walker in Dubai. They are both reviewing the red purse.
Q 1. You chose to review a purse from seeing photos on my blog (or website if you clicked through), what was your 1st impression of the purse when you received it?
Petra: Great it’s red and wow its soft.
Jenny: Very pleased and quite excited.
Q 2. Can you comment on the packaging it came in. What did you think of it?
Petra: My purse was hand delivered.
Jenny: The packaging was fine.
Q 3. Was the colour and size as expected?
Petra: Colour was perfect red. It was slightly smaller than expected.
Jenny: Yes
Q 4. The price of your purse (in UK including VAT) is £30 how do you think it measures up to value for money?
Petra: It seems reasonable for the softness of the leather.
Jenny: I do, the leather is lovely and soft and there are lots of compartments.
Q 5. Are there any improvements you would make to the design?
Petra: Maybe lengthen the note section just a little to fit in slightly larger length notes.
Jenny: I would’ve liked two poppers as I keep lots of things in the purse and its quite fat now, so would liked it not so tight when shut it incase it came open by mistake. Also a little bit longer as putting notes in and out is a bit fiddly.
Q 6. How many times have you used it so far?
Petra: Every day – I’ve made it my main purse.
Jenny: All the time.
Q 7. Would you keep this as your everyday purse or do you swap to a larger or smaller one sometimes?
Petra: Yes. It is my everyday purse except for when I am going onto a boat and don’t want to damage it.
Jenny: I would keep this as my everyday purse and would take a smaller one if going out posh.
Q 8. The actual purse you were sent is made in a very soft leather with a ‘naked’ finish. That is to say that it doesn’t have a coating on the leather of any kind. This means that over time, the leather will change and darken slightly/get shiney as you handle it. Does this worry you? or do you think that’s fine – leather is a natural product and it changes over time?
Petra: I like the natural softness. I tend to change purse every year or so anyway as I tend to trash them, and am not a fan of overly shiny leather as it scratches in my bag. I think leather should mature with age.
Jenny: I am very happy with the purse as it is. Changing colour etc, doesn’t bother me. It just feels so tactile.
Q 9. Has anyone commented on your new purse? What did they say?
Petra: Yes, my friend noticed and like it. Everyone who has seen it comments positively on how soft the leather is!
Jenny: My teenage daughter liked the colour and said that the leather was very soft.
Thank you, Jenny and Petra.
