When I work on a new idea, I think about the inside of my design just as much as the outside, so I thought it’s about time I posted on the subject.
A plain bag isn’t a boring bag, in my opinion it’s a beautiful, minimalist design, that’s been well thought through inside, as well as out.
Here’s an example from my collection.
Queen B
On the outside, the Queen B looks like a simple design, all in one colour, without fussy details like badges, buckles, rivets and rings but on the inside, it gives you a surprise contrast colour lining with plenty of pockets to stash all your bits and pieces, while also having a large open space for carrying larger items.
I love it because my laptop and charger fit easily inside and there are pockets big enough for a Kindle, a large purse and other items as well as a secure zip pocket and of course, a clip for your keys.
For this design, I decided to add exta leather accents inside the bag which gives another colour contrast with the lining material.
Is the Interior Important?
I think so. What do you think?

I think the ‘plainness’ of the bag gives it a stylish air. Not being a fan of fussy this suits me. Although I am a fan of Desigual, which does have funky detailing. However, what gets me reaching for my credit card is if the inside is functional. I do not like bags with nowhere to put anything.
Great comment, thanks Jacqui. I also like the look of Desigual clothing and have a friend who wears it a lot. I think my simple but bright bags are a great accessory to their fabulous prints and crazy colour combos ?
