Well, not the news exactly but feature on other people’s marketing and promotion material. All you need to do is to send them a fab photo of you with their product. Much like I ask of Shona Easton bag owners for my Bags on Tour photo album.
Here’s one of me in Muscat, reading Nicky Kriel‘s ‘How to Twitter’ book. Nicky did what I do and asked readers for photos of them with the book in interesting places (I thought a pool in Oman – in 45c heat was pretty interesting!).
Now you probably can’t (or shouldn’t) get a Bags on Tour photo in a swimming pool but there are lots of other interesting locations or ideas you can try.
I’ve blogged about my favourites before and here’s a list of a few if you’d like to take another look.
- A world tour (part 4: the Arctic circle)
- On Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth
- My trip to Oman
- In Doha, Qatar
- And I do find a fence post is a great accessory for the best shot š Check out this one in France and my favourite Scottish one.
So, if you have a Nicky Kriel book, you now know she loves a great photo of the book with it’s reader and for me… please keep sending me your Bags on Tour photos or post to Facebook.
Thank you!
Great photo and great publicity idea. Gives me food for thought for my book.
Woohoo, that’s great Sherry!

Yes, I’m sure people love seeing their products in the pictures with their customers. Great idea – need to try that myself. Thank you!
Yes try it, Magdalena!
