Bag Dilemma: What to carry when going by Bike

I posted this photo on Facebook and Twitter this week and it got quite a few ‘wow’ comments. Since it is such a fabulous photo (taken professionally by guy sitting backwards on a ‘normal’ motorbike – and at about 50mph!), my marketing mentor Jim Connolly suggested I use it in a new blog post.

Me: But how do I link a photo of me in a sidecar with a blog that is mostly about handbags?

Jim: Blog about Bike Friendly Bags!

So, here goes! I do actually manage to carry a handbag when ‘biking’ believe it or not! But once again it’s the same bag I use quite a lot so you may have read about it before. On this particular occasion I had plenty of space as I was in the sidecar but I still found my mini cross body dark fuchsia pink shoulder bag to be very useful.

It’s a great bag too if you are on a two-up motorbike because as it’s a slim small bag with a thin strap (ie not bulky at all) I can wear it inside my leather jacket while we’re riding along and get it out when we arrive at our destination. Perfect.

And the latest news: I have just ordered a new delivery of this style in time for summer and in some new colours too! The new colours include Navy and Silvery Grey. Stock colours are Fuchsia, Emerald and Black.

Some ladies prefer a backpack on a bike but I like to hide my bag under my jacket. What do you think? Do you have any bag dilemmas?

Great picture! And another awesome Easton bag… I know a couple of ‘biker chics’, will send them a link to this piece as I’m sure a girl can never have too many bike bags!

Hi Ruth, Thanks for your comment. Guess what….I met 2 Croatian lady bikers here in Doha on the day that photo was taken! I was telling them about you living in Korcula (which they kindly helped me to pronounce correctly!). Small world!
